Musings on the Childfree Lifestyle and our Child-Centric Society
Wow what a complete reversal from two years ago! And the weird thing is, that was about the same time as her miscarriage... I wonder if reasons she gave for being CF she was really trying to cover for some guilty feelings from the miscarriage. And the sentence by Nick "the best gift on this earth is a child" is definitely puke-worthy. Just sayin'
Pour one out for the Carey. Have you heard her husband's comments about abortion? Such a douche, I feel sorry for this kid already.
I've seen many fence sitters end up going the way of breeding, and even a few CF.However comments like having children "would leave her feeling violated" followed by eventually having kids is quite a change. Sure people can change their mind, that's allowed, but for such strong feelings to do a complete 180? I can't help but wonder what factors were really at play here.
aww that sucks, I wonder if that's why she looks so much bigger in that picture?
Oh Lord, I feel bad for her kid. He/she will be embarrassed by their mom for their entire lives. I can't imagine having a mom that wore pink sparkly miniskirts as a 40-something-year old woman.
Took the words right out of my mouth! Deleting her from my celeb list (blog post au 15) of those who are childfree, those who with no kids now, but do want them (or at least have said so in the media) and the unknowns...Carey was in the unknowns until today~Laurahttp://lauracarroll.com
She has always been incredibly messed up. Don't her and her husband get married each year? Anything for attention. Since the new trend in tabloids is to inform everyone of "baby bumps" and talk about kids, kids, kids, of course this would be the right decision for her.BTW, is it just me, or is it time for her to start wearing some more conservative clothing? GAWD!
The woman is full of shit. She'll say anything to appease the fame monster, like most celebrities. I don't think it goes much deeper than that.Charmed, I have a friend who had a baby for two reasons: to keep her man, and to explain away why she had gained 50 pounds pre-pregnancy. Sadly, her parents and boyfriend had vocalized their repulsion by calling her "fat and sloppy" to her face. Suddenly, when she became pregnant, nobody could say anything about the weight, and now she acts like it's all baby fat. At least one of her problems was solved.
I have a friend that tried to explain her weight gain off on her kid like two years after he was born, the reason she was so much bigger is b/c she had a kid, bull shit. She gained all that weight AFTER she had him, she didn't gain that much while she was pregnant and actually lost a little right after she found out she was pregnant. She gained it all after she lost her job and wasn't active anymore except to take care of the kid. She didn't even get up with him at night her BF did and he had to work every day, i think he even had two jobs. I didn't say anything b/c its her life not mine, but it used to piss me off. i hate it when people blame all their weight problems on kids when its obvious its the way they eat and their lack of exercise.
I guess it's not surprising when babies are the latest fashion accessory in Hollywood. And although curves are beautiful and one can still be gorgeous in middle adulthood, um, let's just say that outfit is not doing Mariah's figure justice...
So I don't care about celebrity babies, but I did want to post for "Another one bites the dust". A friend of mine who always professed to never want children just fell pregnant, and she's super happy about it. And I'm happy for her - honestly, she'll be a great mom - but I'm sad for me b/c I lost the ONE cool person I know who is child free by choice. I wish I had other people in my life (besides the internet - no offense) who were also happy to be w. no children. It makes me feel less weird.
I never liked Mariah Carey. I always thought of her as a skank. She needs to wear more modest clothing on stage because she is too fat for that little skimpy dress.
